If you yell at the guy loud enough (or go to the same place forever), you can get away with it if the joint is empty. I felt bad doing it, but I got tired of gas spilled on my car and bikes.

The self-serve ban doesn’t apply to diesel at all, so legally, any station could allow you to pump diesel with no consequence. Same applies to Oregon.

I actually didn’t and wondered what the deal was with some stations allowing it and some others not.

I just moved here last year so I don’t know a lot of things about Jersey yet.

My kid is part of a team that had a big event down in South Carolina last summer. Some of the parents were contemplating flying instead of driving down, just because they weren’t sure how to pump gas. They’d lived their whole lives (apparently) in New Jersey and had no idea how to self-serve.
